Fall 2007 Stark numbers and tragic stories indicate that Idaho is approaching a crisis in affordable housing. As housing markets tighten, Idahoans advocate tax credits and rent subsidies. Others look to the private sectors to build more affordable homes.

Idaho Issues Online invites nontechnical writing for a broad readership. We welcome original features as well as adapted excerpts from publications that seldom reach Idaho voters and policymakers. Editorial policy Idaho Issues Online publishes original and adapted essays about vital topics of public concern. Each semester, we publish an issue around an Idaho theme chosen in advance. Guest editors from the Boise State University faculty work with the staff editors to solicit features from established experts. Peer experts anonymously evaluate features for accuracy and scholarly merit. ISSN 1553-9148. |
