Drivers, owners and registrants not complying with University
traffic and parking regulations are subject to parking tickets and
assessment of appropriate penalties. The fact that a person parks
in violation of any regulation and does not receive a citation does
not constitute authorization for such parking, nor does it mean
that the regulation is not in effect. Citations are placed on the
windshield of the vehicle, and near the gas tank on motorcycles
with no windshield. Placement of the ticket constitutes a legal
delivery of the citation. After this step is completed, the
citation is the responsibility of the driver/owner of the vehicle.
For all purposes of these regulations and in such cases in which a
violation has occurred, it will be presumed, in absence of proof to
the contrary, that the responsible party is the registered owner of
the vehicle as information indicates on record with the Department
of Motor Vehicles in Idaho or other states. Personal notes or signs
left on/in vehicles regarding any reason for parking on campus will
not be accepted.
