This is a close-up shot of "Mary Blanner," the Blue-Eyed Doll (or 青い目の人形).

Mary Blanner was sent to Japan as a doll ambassador by the goodwill of American people in 1927.  She was one of more than 12000 dolls sent to Japan.  The owner of Mary Blanner, Ms. Mitsuko Tanahashi brought Mary to Boise for our Hina Matsuri for the first time since Mary left for Japan for 78 years ago.
